I'm having a problem getting a compact flash drive on IDE adapter to work together with a standard IDE hard drive on the same IDE cable. Connected separately they both work well but when i have both attached I can't get both drives to show up in the bios. Is it possible to run both on the same cable?

Unless the adapter has a jumper for Master/Slave, you can't run them on the same cable.

I didn't even see the jumper setting for the master/slave on the card. it's working now.
