I'm looking for ideas on storing keyboards. Currently I have just been leaning them against each other on a shelf. But it's been a pain any time I need to pull out a keyboard, cords keep tangled, etc.

I'm looking for ideas for more elegant solutions.

The most elegant solution would be to create some sort of case where there's one board per shelf
I came across this one:

I'd make it out of varnished wood and with closed sides.

Note: I've stacked my spare keyboards six high on top of a shelf, in a few rows. Nothing elegant about that, but it works 😀

Stuck at 10MHz...

I have only piled them on top of each other so far of a shelf. This makes me wonder if I am damaging them somehow by just doing those. I suppose there is most weight on the bottom one when there might be 4 others on top of it but so far I have not had any problems with any of them when I take one out and use it.

This was my concern too. That plus, I keep getting their cords tangled.

As long as you do not do this think you are OK: https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-stack-of-ke … p-57159640.html

Umm, I accidentally a couple of small piles like that.. mostly the modern ones though....

If I'm deliberately storing them, they get the cord hanked and tied with a baggie over it, and stood vertical on their top edge in a fruit box with sheets of corrugated card between them.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

I was going through a cupboard a few days ago. Got 9 keyboards on end in a box, that has been stored for so long that the box has rotted (it's an outside cupboard that was under a leaky roof before I noticed and had it repaired. I sense a certain amount of restoration is going to be in order, but at least I know I have a nice supply of AT and PS/2 keyboards, when I add them to the shelf I have several stored on inside. It's a low shelf, with keyboards angled on top of each other, so no weight issues and minimal space needed.

I use these for my keyboards, pedals and mice when not in use.

I can keep my CH rudder pedals and my Thrustmaster TPA3 Pedals in one shelf and I also have three retro PCs that I keep the mouse and keyboards in stored behind them on the wall. Really useful shelves for this.
