Hi,

i've got the mentioned board, but unfortunately, the BIOS doesn't know the PII Overdrive.
It works, but is painfully slow.
Other 440FX-bioses work "roughly", but not stable or don't correctly support the Super-IO.

Does anyone know of a compatible BIOS with PIIOD support?
Or, how can i patch the detection in the current image?
simple as adding microcode? Or is there more work to do?

Kind regards
Stephan

Your super IO is the SMC 37c669, if it were the Winbond or UMC more other P.Pro BIOS would support it.
The DFI 686IPA use the UMC, have Award bios and entries for Pentium Pro ODP...

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Thanks. CPU gets detected with 75MHz, but setup runs quite fast.
After the initial copy of W2K and the first reboot, it crashes with a bluescreen and random drivernames.
I'll try the board with a regular PPro, if it isn't working then, maybe there's something else wrong.
