Hi,

I don't know what to search for really so in case this this exact thing has been fixed already, please redirect.

General:
FIC 486 PIO2
5x86 P75 133@150MHz
miro S3 Trio64v+ PCI

The system is running smoothly but when I try to play a game or run a benchmark this happens most of the time:

It happens at least in Doom, Quake and Chris's 3d benchmark. Gods for example looks fine. Also 3D Bench looks fine. Frame rates are good (like 50-70ish FPS). The windows 3 desktop with 1024x768 looks fine. CPU and GPU are not overheating. VGA Palette snoop is on and the Video shadowing of c000-c800 (according to the miro readme) is on as well.

Has anybody ever experienced this ... and hopefully got it fixed? I will try a Trident ISA card later but I would like to use the S3.

Cheers,
Stefan

It happens at least in Doom, Quake and this one 3D bench with the rotating cube. Gods for example looks fine. Frame rates are good (like 50ish FPS). The windows 3 desktop with 1024x768 looks fine. CPU and GPU are not overheating. VGA Palette snoop is on and the Video shadowing of c000-c800 (according to the miro readme) is on as well.

Hello
You are overclocking the PCI bus to 50MHz.
Is the same issue there, when you use the default 33MHz? So CPU 3*33, or 4*33?
Edit. typo fixed
