Does anyone know of a suitable clock generator (PLL) chip replacement for the Asus PVI-486SP3 which will allow 60 and 66 MHz FSBs? I was hoping to run this board at 3x60, or 180 MHz.

The board contains a VIA VT8228N clock generator, for which I can only locate the VT8225 datasheet. The pinouts of the VT8225 are different from other more common PLL chips found on socket 3 motherboards, like the MX8315 or UM9515.

I've replied to that thread, but I'd still need a replacement PLL for this board. My main interest is 60 MHz.

EDIT: After further examination, I could not locate even the 66 MHz FSB setting on my board. See details here: Re: Asus PVI-486SP3 v.1.22 and 66MHz FSB

Another user, Horun, pointed out that the alternate PLL for this motherboard, the AV9155-02 has a datasheet. However, it too does not contain a 60 MHz setting. But, as noted in the same datasheet, the AV9155-23, has 60/66 MHz options. I will see if I can hunt down this IC. Chances are slim. If anyone knows of an alternative, please share the part number here.

EDIT: This may still not work because the existing VT8228N clock generator has a 2xCLK option thru pin 17, and is connected to JP25 pin3, however toggling this does not double the FSB.
