I'm preparing to put up some old drivers for Windows 3.1x. Just would like to know if there are enough people who may be interested in WinNT 3.5 based drivers too? If not, I can concentrate on 3.1x series.

For now, I'm in the process of collecting graphic cards drivers.

(MS-DOS 3.0 - 6.22, Sound Blaster and Win 3.x are nostalgic stuff for me, since I spent most of my younger years (of using computers) with these. Hence, I'm collecting and putting up all these delicacies (depending on your taste))

Thanks.

I'd dig some NT 3.51 drivers if you have them. It's a really interesting system to run because of how it feels halfway between 3.1 and 95. I run it on some of my older systems just to be different.

The normal 3.1 drivers would be appreciated too-- I'm actually trying to build a database of 3.1 drivers on my own, and will eventually put it online as a resource for people setting up old hardware again.

I have a few drivers for both W3.1 and NT 3.51 that I've used myself, if you're interested.

Sure, let's share all that you've got! 😀

A bit busy re-organizing my Sound Blaster Disks folder. I'll come up with the thread soon.

Here are a few. Mostly Windows 3.1 but you said you were looking for those too. The rest are on a computer in my basement-- I'll get them soon.
Most of this stuff has been tested by me in my own tech adventures, but some of the other ones I have are for hardware I just don't have but I picked the drivers up for anyway. I've marked what I know about these if applicable.

Windows 3.1:

ATI 3D Rage / 3D Rage II chipset video cards
Cirrus Logic GD5428 (from Packard Bell restore disc, untested)
Cirrus Logic GD5430 (from Packard Bell restore disc, untested)
Cirrus Logic GD5434 (from Packard Bell restore disc, untested)
Ensoniq AudioPCI
Ensoniq SoundscapeVIVO (Unsure if this is the same as the VIVO90-- my card is from a Gateway machine and has OEM markings)
ESS Solo-1
Intel 810 chipset video (Works on Compaq Presario 3550 and Deskpro EN, untested otherwise. If installed on a system that also has the Network Everywhere NC100v2 drivers below installed, Windows won't boot until one of them is removed-- I'm not sure if it conflicts with other network cards or just that one)
Netgear FA311v1 10/100 Ethernet Adapter (official driver disk package-- also contains drivers for Linux, DOS, Netware, SCO Unix, and NDIS3/4/5, which I believe means NT3/4 and Windows 9x)
Network Everywhere NC100v23 10/100 Ethernet Adapter (another official driver package- contains DOS, FreeBSD, Linux, MS Lan Manager DOS or OS/2, generic NDIS driver, Netware 3/4/5, packet driver, SCO Unix, Windows WfWG3.11, 95, 98, ME, 2000, NT3.51 and NT4)
S3 864
S3 Trio64 (official package containing W3.1, 95, NT3.51, NT4, OS/2 and some utilities)
S3 Trio3D/2X
Voyetra Sound144AM (OEM Packard Bell card, which is apparently a rebranded Aztech Sound Galaxy Washington 16 if Windows 95 is correct-- package contains some useful audio software! I'm working on extracting the software so that you don't have to install Voyetra drivers to use them)

There are a bunch here but I have a feeling you've been there already.

Windows NT 3.51:
Ensoniq AudioPCI (didn't work for my ES1371 card, your mileage may vary)
Intel 810 chipset video
Netgear FA311v1 10/100 Ethernet Adapter (see Windows 3.1 section for package)
Network Everywhere NC100v2 10/100 Ethernet Adapter (see Windows 3.1 section for package)
S3 Trio64V2

your choice to run NT 3.x, but I just have to ask why? NT4 is so much better

As I said I just use it for file management on one of my 486 based Eisa beasts and I wanted to run a Windows OS to match the age of the hardware

And don't worry, I'm running XP and Win 7 as the OS on my Pee-cee's 😉

Here's a universal VESA/VBE graphics driver for all Windows NTs, but particularly Pre-2000 NTs that only have a 640x480 16 colour VGA driver out-of-the-box:

Any NT 3.1 PCI drivers - I managed only find some for VGAs (Matrox) and for the Adaptec 2940.
Also any Windows pre 3.1 drivers - according to the InfoWorld tests they existed but I never found a copy of them.

Metropoli is a good place to look for old drivers:

Or the shareware CDs:
http://cd.textfiles.com/directory.html
Two OLD CD-ROM filled with (special) config and benchmark programs, bios and drivers+everything in between and around

Won't the SB Pro drivers work?

Dunno, haven't tested but a gut feeling tells me they won't work since the Sb Pro isn't exactly the SB 16 "sister card" 😉
