I see you are are serious matze79, your kit feel like an commercial one. I will start building your kit next week when my holiday will be over and I will quit the crazy life. I remember a trick is that : start with smaller parts.

I'm very concerned about that what you sayd : "R2 and C12 are switched, R2 should be in C12 and C12 in R2 Position." what do ou mean exactly ? I ama bit worried as I am about to build your kit and I dont yet understand what you mean. My question exactly is that : is the silskcreen correct or switched ?

I love it, missing the ability to drive a pc speaker (and mix regular pc speaker sound) though 🙁

yes but be aware, once you buy a kit, matze79 stop to answer to any of your question 😜

I'm so glad you understood my humor, I was a bit worried. I should had mentioned that matze79 answered all of my PM questions and the packaging quality was of commercial level to make it more obvious I was not serious. I intend to start building the rig next week when my vacations will be over.

One of the first project I have in mind it to compare the output of a SN76489 with a SAA1099 using sbvgm.exe who support both. Because using different players proven problematic.

Then, of course, I'm eager to try all my favorite video game using the tandy soundcard, which will be a premiere for me!

You may want note that some Games require Patching, also some games won`t work because they check for real tandy or assume if you choose tandy sound that you have tandy video too.

here are few, for sierra agi its needed to upgrade the agi interpreter to one of the patched versions, then put the patched files into game directory and start agit??? .exe you put inside the directory.

ftp://ftp.oldskool.org/pub/TandySoundPatches

Note that Games would like the Card at 0c0h (XT Setting)
But some Hardware will suffer from DMA Conflicts then, NE2000, SCSI.. (On AT!)
So it should only be set if needed.

Thanks for all the precision and update on the building instructions. It's all clear now .... hum not ... I'm mounting the board and cannot find C3. I assume it might be next to C7 ? Am I right to assume C7 is the blue circle and C3 would be the red one ?

Ok nevermind I could not wait, my assumptions where right, and helped by your precises pictures. In all my excitement and nervousness I forgot about 3tool.exe and sndoff.exe so I wondered why no sound output. But I was so glad to finally hear the card 😂 ! During the 2 or 3 hours it took me to build it I kept on thinking how awesome is the work you did.

Sigh ... and now my v1.0 look like an outdated piece of ancient technology, do you work for apple ? Jokes apart, I haven't got any power supply problem, even never hear that HDD problem (maybe because I use CF cards).

No its not, at least not at the current point.
There is also SMD Variant, and there is some effort going on making it Professional.

If you like to build one you can drop me a PM, i have few parts + pcb left.
