Hi guys, quick thing for those that might know, will this work?
Plug this into game port:

Plug this into one side:

Plug joystick into the other side. I think it'll work since the doubler is simply paralleled and the midi circuitry will just go hang out by itself, but can it really be that simple?

Should work with standard joystick as midi is on different pins

Complicated by the fact that more advanced joystick (or digital gamepad) protocols - or even anything beyond "2 buttons for one player" - may repurpose the MIDI pins for their own needs, right?

It's probably not as bad as I made it sound. Many setups will be ok. There merely exists the possibility of situations unfriendly to port-sharing.
