I am still trying to mentally process how to post about my most recent acquisition. It consists of a whole bunch of items that I'm sure most won't even care about here because they are "newer" (2004-2009, roughly), but I think a lot of GPU collectors will understand what a ridiculous find this is. Of course, the caveat is that all of the cards have been stripped of their heatsinks... which is a massive bummer, but... it is hard to be even remotely upset about finding one card from this series, let alone so many, and of so many different models.

It honestly must have either been someone's intentional collection, or an accidental heap of "no one really wants these" cards that ended up going to e-waste decades ago and were, miraculously, not destroyed or even separated from each other after all these years.

I will post more once I actually have them in my possession. It will probably be early next week.

Well you're either yanking our chain over a pile of crappy geforce and radeon, think Xabre went later than it did or you're singing...

Actually, none of the above. 😯

They are very shiny though...

Not Volari Duo? I hoped for it but it's something from 2004-2009...
I'm going with something PCI, FX5900.

PC#1 Pentium 233 MMX - 98SE
PC#2 PIII-1Ghz - 98SE/W2K

- "One hates the specialty unobtainium parts, the other laughs in greed listing them under a ridiculous price" - kotel studios
- Bare metal ist krieg.

Ah, yeah I thought those were over by 2005 apart from integrated. Tell me you got a DX10 version for the sweet sweet 8fps in Crysis.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

The shiny cards continued to be made for a while actually... and... I'm still shocked, but I have almost all of the models they made from 2004-2009 coming to me in one box. Including what looks like at least one prototype\unreleased card.

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.
