The shiny cards continued to be made for a while actually... and... I'm still shocked, but I have almost all of the models they made from 2004-2009 coming to me in one box. Including what looks like at least one prototype\unreleased card.

To emphasize how crazy this find is, for me... I have zero cards from this entire line currently, despite actively looking for them for years.

Yeah, I haven't had one "under my nose" in probably 20 years, otherwise I would have bought it out of curiosity. But I haven't been trawling internet for them. And during the first decade of that I picked up a couple of Voodoos, a Xabre and a Sis 305, and in the second got a Banshee and a Savage 4, and a couple of unicorn soundcards.. not boasting, just saying I am not walking round with my eyes shut and looking in the places where these things might turn up, and haven't seen these "in the wild" at all. So it's probably a pretty crazy find period.

No pics because tired, but I picked up a thicc compac VGA cable (bigger around then my thumb!) and a 1990 Mac Mic at the local recyclers.

Lots of nice stuff coming out of Japanese retro dealers of late, the majority of it well looked after too. Postage costs are high but might be worth it for stuff like them Canopus cards.

Compared to have stuff from anywhere except Germany and China, international shipping from Japan is quite reasonable in my opinion. Just comparing to the prices lately to have stuff shipped internationally from the US (or Australia).

The P3B-F was my first ever motherboard (Got for free in 2003 I think? maybe 2004.) and I cut my teeth with that. Had a celeron 533, then a faster P3 in a slotket and then a Tualatin Celeron 1.4ghz which was awesome.

Edit: I remembered correctly, early i7-9xx could go up to 250W at full throttle. 300 is playing it on the safe side.

Edit: I remembered correctly, early i7-9xx could go up to 250W at full throttle. 300 is playing it on the safe side.

I have an i7-980x overclocked and use a 212 EVO with it and it doesn't overheat (130TPD I think 2010 era beast).

Sure its appropriate I ran an I7-950 at 4GHZ its whole life on a CM Hyper 212.

Late 754 from 2005, bundled with Semprons, when they'd become the budget option are everywhere. But I struggle to find a single 2003 board or CPU.

I'm gonna jinx it but... I bought a 286 board sporting a CLCC socket.
Hopefully it works, bought as "worked until put in a bag".

I guess they didn’t sell that much. S939 was available one year after S754 launched. People who knew S939 was around the corner probably waited for it.
