I've got nice little 486 desktop for repairs but I cannot find any documentation anywhere. Like the board never exists. I also have no clue what the hell is the oscillator-hacked chip supposd to do.
Clock input to a keyboard controller? Seems an odd thing for a designer to have forgotten about. I'm confused about the missing Y1 oscillator for the Winbond IO chip.
[edit: also seems odd to be missing C65&66, they look to be part of the drive for main Y2 14.318 MHz crystal. Maybe there's enough line capacitance that it starts up without them]
[and what's with that cap across pin 4-7 of that 4096? Reducing slew rate on an output? I think some keyboard controllers had a maximum slew rate for their clocks?]
Either you got it from this auction, or here's another example of the board with the KBC clock patch https://aukro.cz/zakladni-deska-unisys-ut486- … meti-6961445679 mayyybe the pics are good enough to confirm you've got everything it should have on it.
Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

No, I have whole computer and there is DX33 but I have it from Czech Republic too 😮 Maybe they've come from same source who made hack to both (or more) of them..?

I am very sorry but I am completely lost now 😀
Received this Macintosh Plus 1MB today. Everything seems to work perfectly fine, even the external 20MB SCSI hard drive sounds healthy. CRT is very sharp and bright. RAM has been upgraded to 4MB. It's dirty, but not scratched or cracked. I think it will clean up real nice. At price of 45 euros for the whole set, I just couldn't resist 😁

Well, it is branded UniSYS so I am not surprised there is not really any info out there about it. Guessing it was produced specifically for UniSYS and would probably not have been sold in any retail outlet.
Managed to luck out on finding an AGP Radeon X1950XT. Only cost me £26, which seems quite decent value for money considering the rarity.
Nice Mac Plus. I already kept the family's Mac Plus since forever, sitting at 2.5 Mb RAM and with an external Hyperdive FX/20 (wants to be initialized since 2017) and I had found a new one in 2005, platinum colored, 4 Mb for $40 canadian. I couldn't resist either. It's my favorite mac classic of all time, especially in no-HD operation!

Cool. It's an iconic form factor. I got my Mac SE for around the same price in NZ pasos a while back. A bit of yellowing but every thing works.

Apparently 32-bit is dead and nobody likes P4s.
Of course, as always, I'm open to correction...😉

I started taking this thing apart for cleaning. I expected the hard drive to be filled with dust bunnies because of the fan, but no, it looks almost like factory fresh inside. Very minimal dust. Even the fan has almost no dust buildup. This unit must have very low power on hours count.

I missed out on an X1950XTX last year that eventually went for $50. Still kicking myself...

If in the picture bellow where the red arrows are pointing, there are RIFA 0.01uf , 0.1uf etc capacitors installed, I advice you to replace them ASAP. Those caps are known to fail in kind of a bad way even when they look ok.
Picked up a 2 ISA Slot Asus P3B-f 1.04 for a nice price. Going to see about doing some overclocking with it.
I got this interesting Nortel network appliance...thing off eBay, not because I have any real interest in using it for its intended purpose, but because it's an interesting small form factor PC using (in this case) a 400MHz Socket 370 Celeron CPU. I think this chassis might actually be made by Intel and just OEM'd by Nortel, as I saw one of these machines on eBay once minus the Nortel branding.

Måttfull och balanserad.

Cool. I'm a fan of odd form factors as well. Smaller the better...😉

That's very good advice, thanks. The mac itself also has couple of them. They have cracks all over them. I think I'll replace all of those time bombs now that i have everything already disassembled.
