Looks like Mouser have a few 1000uF 6.3V low ESR options in stock:

I don't see anything immediately wrong with the Nichicon UPW.

But fewer 22uF 16V, only:

If you include 25V parts there are a few more options:

Nichicon UPWs are in that list as well.

I thought using polymers as replacements was a bit risky though?

Think there's a possible inrush current issue, and possible stability if the feedback loop is a bit slow or insensitive, but I'd expect the difference between high or low 10s of milliohms (going from low ESR AlElectrolytic to Polymer) is probably masked by other resistances in the circuit. So I included them anyway. But the Nichicon are normal low ESR anyway, and the 22uF 25V part is in stock, if it'll fit.

oh right so you can use a 25v cap instead of a 16v one in this case?

Looks like the case size is the same between the 16V and 25V part for the UPW (I've no particular reason to pick that one out, just that the specs look ok, Nichicon are a good make, and it's available), and the ESR and rated ripple current are the same. So there shouldn't be any harm using the 25V part. Never reduce the rated voltage if swapping out caps.

What's the diameter on those 6.3V 1000uF?

For 8mm, any of these will be fine (yes, you can use slightly higher capacitance and the voltage rating can be higher):

I don't immediately see anything wrong, but you may want to wait for more knowledgeable people to chip in.

Mind the lead spacing though. I think those Panasonic ones ending in B have a wider spacing and a crimp just before the legs go in to the capacitor, looks like this: https://richelectronics.co.uk/product/rubycon … -8x16mm-mbf017f

Could make it a bother fitting the capacitors without stressing the lead where it goes in to the body of the capacitor.

Yeah its just for the motherboard , ill need to go and redo the list for the power supply

Generally speaking from what i gather on the psu, the esr meter seems to say that anything with a UF in the hundreds or thousands are low esr and the and anything less than that is just general purpose caps??
Does that sound right?

Bigger caps have lower ESRs by the nature of their manufacture (don't ask me to explain why - Better ask Wester547 over at badcaps)... So while it's normal to have something like a 5mm 10uF cap test at between 1 to 5 Ohms, 1 Ohm on something like a 10x20mm cap would be greatly suspect.

Keep in mind with the ESR meter that some of the caps you're replacing might test fine, but you don't test for other things with it like leakage current for example, so it's best to replace everything.

Yeah I just more wanted to know which caps I should replace with low ESR and which ones to select generals instead.
