Took it out of storage, soldered the new LM80 and doesn't turn on.
No shorts on chip. No dead shorts on motherboard.

Have no idea. All components work and retried in other system.
I hate this board.

I can't believe this, tried and retried a cap blew clean.
Replaced and now works again.

I always loved Stephen King for his fantasy but this is getting close to possession to mock me 😀
I just need to have a neighbour called Eugene and I'm done.

Lm80 replaced and board is like new.
No, soldering is not better than factory but I'm satisfied.
