Hi i started a new Build:

BabyAT Case

- PICMIG Backplane
- iEi SBC with Core i5 1150 4750TE 35W currently (4590 on arrival)
- 16Gb DDR3 1333Mhz
- 320Gb HDD (temporary)

it also has PCI Slots and Legacy Ports (LPT, Serial, PS/2 and so on)
I can`t use Onboard Audio from the SBC as it requires additional Breakout with ICs on it which i don`t have.

Unfortunally running Ensoniq Audio PCI did not work out, the DOS Drivers won`t load.
The Q87 Chipset does not have PCI Support so it seems PCI is bridged to PCIe.
I think there is no solution for this 😉

PSU Search was bit ehm messy.
All new PSUs have 120mm Fan and on AT Case its Upside Down so it does not cool the PSU.
I found Dell PSU (Rebranded Delta with 300W) unfortunally it has no 6 Pin PCIE Connector.

I will make a Hole in the Bottom of the Case for a Additional Fan so its not visible getting more Airflow and maybe rise Case feets a few mm up.

Well not so easy find a LowPower Graphics Card with some Power these Days.
Currently i have
- GeForce GT630 (loud and noisy...) 2Gb
- Quadro 4000 2Gb (too much heat for AT Case)
- R9 270X 2Gb (No 2x 6 Pin Connectors on PSU)

At least HD4600 iGPU runs Crysis

Anyone knows 80mm Fan PSU with 6 Pin PCIe Connectors ?

Cool. As for the PSU, I would just modify the PSU mount on the case... drill the needed holes to mount the PSU so the PSU will be the correct way with the fan on the bottom.

Do any reasons exist why not to just snip off such a cable from a bad PSU and add it to an 80mm fan PSU of your choice?

(Edit: just take care that you don't use a 20AWG cable from a very bad PSU, it should be at least 18, or better 16AWG)

(Edit2: Could you please tell me what was the first soundcard for the IBM PC? There is a forum which asks this question and it doesn't accept "Adlib" or whatever I try.)

Hm intressenting, must be some kind of Bug, the valid Answer is adlib or Adlib

Yes i will do support for the SBC, the Original Card Holder does not fit unfortunally.

Also will add Floppy via USB to 34Pin Adapter 😀

Makes no sense add a 6 Pin Connector to this PSU it only has one 12 Volt Rail with few Amps suitable for Office PC but it will not Power any decent Card 😀

after replacing the thermal paste with AC MX-4 its down to 40-50 C° in Idle.
Before it was running at 80 C°, insane!

My PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750 in my X58 Lanparty rig has an 80mm fan on it and it has 2 6 pin and 2 8 pin pcie power plugs.

I've also got the 500w version of that with a 6 and an 8 pin as well but I'm not using it atm (not the same one as the one in my 98 rig)

Molded sata cable equals don't touch with a 10 foot pole.

You want the crimped pin type.

Well installed Core i5 4570 today, now with Real Quadcore.
But the Case needs more Ventilation for using Proper Video Card..
i`m not yet sure if i want to cut holes in the Bottom.
So the Fans are not visible.
