Hi, I would like to buy a DC Jack for powering notebook Gericom 1100AT (4pin) instead of isolated wires plugged into the connector. Same type of the connector use HiNote ultra 2000. Do you know what type of connector it is? Thank you.

Hey there, welcome to the forum 😀

I don't know what the connector is actually called, I seem to recall it had a Hirose logo on it? But it probably pre-dates online / pdf catalogues.

We went through how to get one of those connected a few weeks ago in the retro laptop thread: Re: The quest for the perfect retro laptop: a saga

Hi, thank you for your hint! I found it...

It's Hirose RP34 Series small I/O connector. https://www.hirose.com/product/p/CL0113-5049-1-71
p/n: RP34-8SP-4SC(71)
pins: RP34-SC-112

Farnell have them in stock, I'm so happy 😀

This is awesome. I've got a little Polaroid Pogo portable printer thingy from a while back. Picture quality is mostly rubbish, but it's sort of fun (the heating profile -> colour technology is interesting). The internal battery died (7.4V LiPo bulged) and I couldn't find a new direct replacement. Tried making one up using a couple of bare LiPo cells that fitted in the battery compartment, but their internal resistance is too high so they can't supply necessary voltage during the surge current when the printer turns on. So I was going to rig up an external battery pack (generally good anyway as even when new the internal pack was only good for around 5 prints), except the external power connector is this weird 2 pin thing that I couldn't find. Thought about replacing the connector, but ended up just putting it all to one side.

And now the connector has just been dropped in front of me. I think. I'll need to check measurements, but I think it looks right. Thank you.

Amazing, I had no idea these could still be bought. Next time I put in an order with Farnell or Mouser, I'm getting a couple for my 6200AT.

Thank you for finding out which one it is 😁
