My dad always says "When you have tried everything and it doesn't work, try reading instructions".

What if you don't understand some of the instructions. I can't even make a model car. I don't understand the instructions.

Check out section 5 of the README, specifically the keys for "Start/Stop creating a movie of the screen. (avi video capturing)". There's not a whole lot to understand...

Wow. I hadn't imagined anybody would not know those things. Have you seriously never pressed a key combination like Alt-F4 or Ctrl-Alt-Del? "Ctrl" and "Alt" are like the "Shift" keys on your keyboard. You hold them down, then press F5 (release them in any order you like).

It stops recording when you press Ctr-Alt-F5 again or when you quit DOSBox (not the game).

AVI is the main format Windows uses for video. Just double-click on an AVI file (it will appear in DOSBox' "capture" directory) to play it, probably through Windows Media Player. For more information, check out the "README.txt" file in DOSBox' "zmbv" directory.

What if i am listening to music on my computer and recording a video in dosbox at the same time.

When i watch the video it loads up media player but i get a screen that i would get if i were listening to music. I only hear the sounds.

Then you haven't followed the instructions in the README.txt in the zmbv directory:

To play the recorded movie, you need a movie player which can handle the
ZMBV codec. MS Windows users can find this codec in the start menu entry of
DOSBox.

I don't have shortcuts to dosbox or games in my start menu.

Then reinstall dosbox as they have to be present when correctly installed.
