Just had a look at Soleau's website and just a 'thank you' message on there:

Looks like he has finally ceased trading - a sad day indeed, another one of the shareware pioneers hangs up their keyboard.
I have many happy memories playing Oilcap back in the 90s and still enjoy a game now.
William Soleau has always remained a mysterious and exciting figure to me; for me growing up England UK, his New York address always seemed so exotic and I would imagine this friendly chap on his DOS 386 programming away at the top of a high-rise with the NY skyline out his window at sunset. He definitely played an important part in my gaming childhood and for that I raise my glass and tip my hat to the man!
