Hi there,

I bought a C6 winchip, C6-PSME200GA recently and wanted to know about multipler stuff. is it unlocked?

If so, this would be fun to run at 133mhz or 266MHz.

Cheers,

Great Northern aka Canada.

Maybe, C6 had some weird fractionals like 1.75 and 2.25 though.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

Yes, the IDT Winchip C6 multipliers are unlocked. But this CPU supports only whole multipliers of x2, x3, x4, and x5. In the attachment you'll see what IDT wrote in the C6 databook.

The Winchip 2 has the same multipliers specification, but the Winchip 2A can do fractional multipliers and some curious x2.33 and x2.66 values.
