If a motherboard has a modded bios available that adds support for K6-2+ / K6-III can I assume it adds support for the regular K6-2 to as well?

Modded bios usually already have that support from the original fab, the + series were newer and a lot of fabs never bothered to update the bios with support so some community members can mod the latest bios to support the + CPUs.

ASUS TX97-XE specifically. Manual only mentions the K5/K6. That's why I ask.
EDIT: Think I might have answered my own question. Asus lists a BIOS from 2000 that specifically says K6-2 support.

Youll find the modded Bios for your board here ! in the patched Bios section, it also adds support for drives larger than 32gb along with + support.

@TrashPanda, thanks for supporting my website. 😀
You are correct, most BIOSes I’ve patched for K6-2+/-III+ already have support for the original K6-2/K6-III CPUs. But if they don’t, I have added K6-2/K6-III support as well so all BIOSes on my k6plus page support the K6-2/K6-III/K6-2+/K6-III+ models.
@Private_Ops, the original TX97-XE Revision #401A0-0112xe-1 BIOS already supports the K6-2/-III up to 400MHz (6 x 66). So you only need the 0112xej2 patched BIOS for the K6-2+/-III+ CPU, for 450MHz (6 x 75) and 500MHz (6 x 83) support, and for drives above 32GiB.
Cheers, Jan.

Well when it gets here (Russia to the US) I'll certainly test it out (I have a couple K6/2/+ CPUs laying around). This one has onboard Vibra16X sound, which was the reason I wanted it.
