Hi, like said in the topic, I get a black screen with d3d2 on a SR440BX with Pentium II 400 MHz, just after pressing the Power Button for 3 seconds. Before that I interrupted Windows XP to start up, because I wanted to recognise a new HDD in the Setup. After rebooting the registry SYSTEM wasn't found (maybe due to interrupt the start up).

“Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINXP\system32\config\SYSTEM”

I think one can probably use the registry backup to fix it, but I need to get the Computer run at all to do that.

Okay, sorry. For what ever reason, the CPU wasn't connected right. It must be maybe dirt, corrosion and by chance it just didn't work at the moment I pushed the Button to reset the system the second time. Also the \WINDOWS\system32\config\SYSTEM error resolved by itself. Sorry for the noise.
