It looks like a budget Gateway PC. It's a nice artifact but you will have to do something about the rust on the bottom.

That MPEG decoder card with the passthrough, odd buy but okay.. 🎃

Looks like it may have been subjected to flood water at some point, may not have gotten far into the case but still the bottom looks like the USS Rustoleum no telling how much Tetanus exists inside the case.

Why does nobody ever consider the Rage Fury MAXXXXXX 🤣

It's an awesome card but the only specimen I ever had was broken, and I only managed to break it further by trying to bake it, which resulted in dislocating all SMD components while removing it from the oven. 🙁

I just bought an AWE 32 2760 with a crushed box (no drivers) and 8 video cards including a 3D Blaster CT6760 PCI, the rest was part of the bundle: Compaq OEM GeForce2 GTS 32 MB ,ASUS V7700 /Pure 32MB, GeForce 7600 GS DDR2 256mb AGP, Geforce 4 MX480 128mb AGP, GeForce 6800GT 256MB AGP, PCI Radeon 7000 AGP, ASUS V7100 Pro/T 32 MB AGP, MSI FX5200 128mb AGP, ATI Rage 2 AGP. The other card aren’t that interesting I guess.. but all for $86 USD. That’s a pretty ok deal right?

Slot load!

Oh yeah! I already had a slot loading Pioneer DVD player which I bought in 1999. Very reliable, very quiet and very fast. This one is a CD player and slightly noisier but it does load CDs very fast.

Even a dead Voodoo2 can get detected in Windows 98 and work as a pass-through most of the time so it can be hard to tell. I hope you're lucky however!

Might be able to take the two dead ones and make one working one.

I could have bought two Voodoo 2 cards for 85 dollars each if I were quicker. I've got only one, the second one disappeared and now we have only one proposal per Ukraine costing something like $200. Things become more and more expensive.

The rule of thumb to me - if you see something - buy it immediately.

486: ECS UM486 VLB, 256kb cache, i486 DX2/66, 8MB RAM, Trident TGUI9440AGi VLB 1MB, Pro Audio Spectrum 16, FDD 3.5, ZIP 100 ATA
PII: Asus P2B, Pentium II 400MHz, 512MB RAM, Trident 9750 AGP 4MB, Voodoo2 SLI, MonsterSound MX300

I agree , I felt stupid for buying a voodoo 2 for 120 aud then another for 140 aud to get a sli setup going back in 2020 but looking at the prices now it doesn't seem so bad. I mean people pay stupid amounts for knowingly broken ones now , it's mental.

The Ukraine is where I just bought my two GPUs from, seller has a few others im interested in too (At what I feel are reasonable prices all considered), the Aussie market is pretty pathetic but Eastern Europe and the old Soviet Bloc countries have a wealth of older hardware. Buy a lot from Russia too the sellers I have bought from there really did go above and beyond when packaging and shipping the items too.

Hope no one gets offended by "Soviet Bloc" not sure where to place all the countries from that area of the world since some of them are not EU members.

Already have a Voodoo2 SLI on my P3 Retro Beast but I couldn't resist to get another one... 160$ for a 12MB one. Carefully inspected it before testing it, I found 2 bent legs on one of the 2 mains 3dfx chips ( common when not treated as they deserve 😭). Easily fixed and tested on my P233mmx Rig under Quake2. Working like a charm 😍

Now back in safety in my geek cupboard for the next years 😇
