I got a nice radeon 7200 DDR 64MB. It looks like it's not a retail version as it has 166MHz on gpu / mem instead of 183. I would like to try flash bios to make the card "full spec", I looked at some pictures on the web and I don't see any differences in pcb design. While converting voodoo 2k to 3k, replacing the bios was very easy, but it is more difficult here. On the web, I can't find any information about what program to use to flash the card, it's even more difficult to find a bios editing program. amdvbflash and RBE does not work under win98.

1. Any ideas how to flash and edit bios on 7200?
2. Maybe someone is able to dump bios from 7200 DDR/64/183?

ATiflash? Radedit?
My memory is vague here but I recall using those in the past. See what google outputs for those search terms. Good luck!😃

Sorry for necro post but thought I would leave some information for anyone else that ends up here empty handed like myself. I have dumped the bios of my retail ATI radeon 7200 DDR 183Mhz/183Mhz and flashed onto another card I own. The other card is identical but had an OEM bios. Its very strange as it even has 5.5ns memory which I though only the retail cards had. The bios sticker of the Retail card is 70702 and the OEM 70703. I physically removed chips and flashed with the TL866 programmer.

Also the retail board bios is 64kbit and the OEM 128kbit. Flashing the 64kbit image onto the 128kbit chip worked fine at the beginning of the chip address 00000000 (i've flashed motherboard bios files previously on larger chips and had to flash at the end of the chip).

I've submit the bios files to Retroweb so should be on their site in due course https://theretroweb.com/expansioncards/s/ati- … n-7200-64mb-ddr
