I'm trying to restore this old Altec 586 computer and I was wondering if anyone has any info on the drive rails its case was using.

I have none of the rails and I need at least photos of suitable rails in the hopes that I'll be able to 3d print some replacements.

The case is very particular about it and every hand made workaround I tried has failed.

The only thing I can find on google about this case is a post in a greek forum. It has some good photos of the case, but the rails aren't visible enough. It doesn't let me post the link here but it's the first result in google if you look up "Altec 586".

best advice is to be creative and don't be afraid to mod and come up with a better solution. I'm pretty sure someone even half the man you are could figure it out. Always remember that if some asshole designed something to work a certain way unnecessarily, that means it can be un-designed to work that way.
