That guy is a moron. Because he tried to run an ISP wizard instead of IE, he assumed that you can't go directly online with 98 without signing up to MSN. Such stupidity makes it easy ignore anything else that he might have to say. Besides, he wants to compare it to a nearly decade old OS?

Some thought maybe related... (haven't seen the video, sorry)

Yesterday I had to clone a laptop. I used xxx boot cd (pirate stuff, I won't give the name), starting with TPC/IP support. My plan was to start Ghost and put the image in a shared folder. The first step was making the connection (net use). Easy. Yes. Very easy.

30 minutes later, I was wondering why I couldn't log into a XP shared folder (of course, right user with right password is supposed to ALWAYS give error).

The last chance was to use samba to create a "shared" folder in Debian and put there the image. 2 minutes later, Ghost was making the image into my Debian computer.

So... it seems Debian with samba is more compatible with SMB protocols than Windows XP.
