Hi @nexxen - apologies for the necro-post, but I was wondering if you got this EGA card working? I am curious if you were able to find out anymore about it.
By dumb luck I stumbled upon a Compaq EGA monitor. I already have restored an original 1986 Deskpro 386/16. It seems those were offered with EGA as an option. I am trying to figure out what the "correct" original EGA card would have been in that model. Would it have been the Enhanced Color Graphics II?
Hi! No problem, it's sometimes better to re-animate an old post 😀
No, I didn't. I just asked a friend to test it and it is still @ his place, IIRC. He couldn't remember either if he tested it. I guess that age isn't a good factor at some point - 🤣
It was indeed seen by a board I put it in.
Mine was in a 286, if you have a 386 maybe a later version or a different card completely. I'm not an expert on the subject.
I'm glad you have a restored 386, have lots of fun with it!!
