I spotted this feature while browsing motherboards on eBay. I didn't know that this chip was ever used onboard. Unfortunately, there are no ISA slots so there isn't much advantage to this over installing a PCI card on some other board. But I thought it was interesting to find.

not to many advantages to that board. only 3 pci slots no isa slot. it only has 1 usb port. only 2 ram slots.

does it have the wavetable header like pci aureal cards would have there is a connector in the top right i guess could be for that but can't tell.

the board isn't listed on the asus website so no manual for it. looks like these may have been oem board. from a sony viao maybe?

I think there were multiple boards with Vortex2 onboard. Even with AGP. I just don't remember any. 😅
