Hi,
I'm sharing some info about another project I made few yrs ago - Win9x booting from SAN - Fibre Channel edition. The idea is to use a Linux server with SCST service hosting block device exposed via FC port connected to Win9x machine. The card for Win9X is QLogic QLA2100. There was a problem with finding a suitable driver for Win9X as such driver doesn't exist. But for a windows kernel developer it isn't a big issue if you're motivated enough. The speeds are crazy:

Linux SSD using QLA2100:

Some other pics (the pics come from my first attempt - QLA2000 + LIO, was later switched to QLA2100 + SCST):

Sure. Give me some time. I need to locate these drivers on my HDD. However on some systems depending on HW configuration (location of device in IO space - device manager) if address is different than the default it needs to be patched (single dword at specific location - very easy).
