I'm trying to run Lemmings 3D from a ISO file I just built with ImgBurn. The Lemmings 3D CDROM is a mixed mode (data+redbook tracks) cd.

When just mounting the actual cd like this, I have no problems running the game: MOUNT D D:\ -t cdrom -usecd 0 -ioctl -label LEMM3D

But when I try to mount my ISO file, it either hangs or gives the error 'Illgal GRP4 Call 5'. This is the command I use for the mount: imgmount D: <path to file>\LEMM3D.cue -t iso

Is this a problem with DosBox? Or is ImgBurn giving me a corrupted ISO? It gave no errors when reading the cd, and after the iso mount I can view the files on the D drive.

I cannot say if this is the cause of the error message, but a mixed mode CD cannot be imaged into an ISO file (CD audio tracks are out of scope of ISO9660 ) . Try with CUE BIN instead .

Sorry, I missed that you were using a CUE file already (must have stopped reading when I saw ISO) . I think jmarsh likely has you covered as to the next steps .

Post the contents of the LEMM3D.cue file, and also tell which version/build of DOSBox you're using.

Here's the .CUE, DosBox version v0.74-3.

Also, I said 'iso file' but it's a .BIN file actually.

I tested the audio tracks using a dos cd player, those work fine.

The problem is in the data track it seems, I just noticed that the .EXE files in the directory listing are doubled..I added a screenshot of the ISO mount and the normal cdrom mount.
I also added the CD track info from ImgBurn.

The disc in question appears to contain associated files, which in most cases are Macintosh resource fork data. Lemmings 3D is a DOS game released in 1995, so the 2001 dates in the directory listing suggest the disc is re-authored rather than original, perhaps accounting for how resource fork data got into the file system. In any case, you will need an SVN build of DOSBox to avoid the issue when mounting the image with IMGMOUNT.

oli1980, that build you picked is a fork.

Can you try ripsaw8080's suggestion using an SVN build, which is the successor to the original DosBox version v0.74-3 you mentioned initially using?

Filename is DOSBox r4471.7z, here: https://yesterplay.net/dosboxece/

EDIT: Sorry, make that DOSBox r4473.7z
