i try FreeDOS to break the boring old routine of installing Windows 95 or MS-DOS 6.22 + Win3.1 in those Pentium laptops, this model in particular the Dell Latitude LM TS30G and TS30GI had the bad luck of those floppy drive units always turn bad and gets unusable, so i do the trick of installing FreeDOS first in a VirtualBox instance using a CF card instead of a virtual hard drive file, this works for me to format the CF using the WIn95 floppy disk then copy the installer contents from the Win95 CD and install it as-is.

i plug the CF card back to the laptop but seems like it can't find the partition data when InitDisk reports a warning that it "assumed" the partition size and CHS then and the kernel asks for a command.com, plug in back to VirtualBox works fine, but not the Dell laptop.
There's suggestions to try?

Thanks.
