Glad you found the ISO useful - you can find the manual (rev A4) here

http://www.win3x.org/uh19/public/motherboard/ … a4777462618.pdf

You rock! Thanks so much! And yeah ISO is awesome. Full of all kinds of goodies. Way more than I'm used to seeing a mobo manufacture put on there. Truly a "CD Pro" haha.

This is a mega pack of stuff for that motherboard that i made.

It contains:
-Old websites with info and tutorials on how to fix some of the problems, specially with sound blaster cards, it has bios, drivers, etc.
-Some of the websites are not available anymore so i saved them using wayback, and i was able to get most of the files hosted on those websites too.
-For example there is a site that talks about problems with the motherboard and that site gives you a link to other 2 sites, and those 2 sites have files in it. I saved all sites to pdf and all files on the site are on the pack.
- INCLUDED ALSO THE LATEST MODDED BIOS FOR K6-iii , mod by Tim Stinnett

https://www27.zippyshare.com/v/BQevuyeq/file.html

Now if there is an angel out there in this forum.....
I would really like to have an ISO image of the original Driver CD that came bundled in the box of the motherboard, I have only seen it Once, on ebay, asking 300 dollars for it.

Do you still have this pack ? (original link is dead)

I managed to find VA-503+ couple of days ago and it came with the USB riser card. I wouldn't have guessed that the riser card is rare. I just assumed it was included with every motherboard.

I took couple of pictures.

Oooo good find!! Yes very rare.

If you post really good measurements and a list of components and a diagram someone here may be able to make a gerber and mouser project for it

Those are probably rare AF since they only ever were optional in retail boxes, as stated in the manual:

And going by ASUS standards, "optional" was a somewhat imprecise way of saying "nonexistent".
I wonder whether those stabilising diodes and capacitors on that bracket ever made any practical difference in use. Other than that, it's basically inferior to generic cables, dictating the slot to use.

@OP: If it's about file transfer, you should go with a 2.0 PCI card anyway.

BTW., another friendly archive of old FTP sites, including FIC and the manuals:

Socket 7 and usb 2.0 are a bad mix better to use a hub on the usb 1.1.

If you install a card and run 3dmark (nothing using the card) then pull it out and run it again you’ll see what I mean. Could mean 1/3 to 1/4 better score

Thanks. OK, that is weird. Sure it applies to all chips? I've read the VIA ones were usually causing trouble. But I think I have at least three different manufacturers on the heap.

I took more pictures and made some measurements. USB D+ and D- pins just seem to be directly connected to USB ports. So it looks like all the components are for power supply filtering and fuses. There are many SMD capacitors so do correct me if I'm wrong.

PC Hoarder Patrol (or someone who happen to grab this ISO), you wouldn't happen to have a link to that CD Pro ISO would you? I'm about to get my FIC VA-503+ and I would love all those drivers and utilities. Thank you ahead of time!

@SuperDave, welcome to Vogons 😀

I don't have a live link to the compressed ISO atm, but it's still on my file server and am happy to UL a new copy to MediaFire - give it an hour or so and I'll update this post with the link
