as has been alluded to on this forum, it should be possible to mod the aforementioned boards by replacing the AT-style keyboard jack with two mini-DIN jacks, which should be trivial. i recall the BIOS of my board making mention of PS/2 mouse functionality as well, so that shouldn't be an issue either.

however, what i've not seen mentioned is that there's actually a number of SMD components in that area that are missing on the non-PS/2 style boards. some pictures of batman's revenge variants here and here. from what i can see, at least the bottom two little ceramic capacitors in the first row behind the port are missing, as well as the bottom three larger components in the adjacent row as well, and possibly more. on plato it seems there's another pad in the first row of smaller components, but i can't find a comparison pic offhand that would show whether this needs to be populated as well or not. it seems the PS/2-style versions of these boards are a lot more rarer for understandable reasons, as they wouldn't fit a standard AT-style case.

does anyone have a component list for this mod?

nice start, thanks. now, what parts list to go for though?

looking at 10 µH inductors there's a variety of parts from 0805 to 1210 sizes, with widely varying impedance and SFR ratings. that could well be the reason why it has been reported as not working on that page.
