Hi

I have a problem with an USB stick. as soon as i plug it in to my system it says that the stick is not recognized. In device manager i see it only as unknow USB device. All my other sticks work.

It seems that the stick cannot provide driver data somehow. I tried already to reinstall usb drivers on my pc etc but it did not help. Has anybody maybe another solution?

There's a chance the USB connector of it has developed a bad solder joint which can lead to this sort of problem. I have had this happen to few of my sticks and fix was easy but main issue is those sticks are not meant to be openable and it takes effort to make them stay closed afterwards.

Yes it can happen.

First thing to do is to test it in another PC or a couple of other PCs to understand if the issue is with the stick or the computer.
