That mouse looks awesome, just like new. I have the same one in black, which I have been using for years, so it isn't in the greatest visual condition. It is a very comfortable and great quality mouse. Good find! 😀

Recieved my newly produced Amiga1200 case. At first I was not that happy with this type of grey, but the more I look at it, the more I actually like it. I honestly thought that the shade of grey were way darker. That said. Really cool product, and I like it a lot. My 1200 will now look even more sweet, and all I need now is new keycaps once they hit the market.... 😜

Let it soak in soapy water for a while, then use an anti-static brush (or just a toothbrush) to scrub it thoroughly. Then make sure that it dries out completely before testing, you can remove water under the chips with compressed air, and IPA is good to push out the remaining water.

Better to use ultrasonic cleaner or if not available - dishwasher is perfect too.

Thanks you both, I'll try that. So dishwasher powder is not too aggressive for circuit boards? (Or did you mean dishwasher without powder which would simply be warm water?)

For the sake of completeness, here's the result.
Simply dishwasher powder, warm water and a tooth brush did the trick 😀

I resisted buying a Rendition card for a long time, but it appears my resolve was broken. I haven't flashed the BIOS update for better speeds, but this card is not as crappy as I imagined. I mostly picked it up just to try out Tomb Raider, but it does pretty well in other games (just before) it's time, also.

I've resisted as well. I haven't been able to come up with a good reason to buy one. They do look interesting though.

When I broke, I was looking to get an AGP 8MB version, but then I read here how impossible those are to get, and that was many years ago. They aren't getting any easier to buy today, so I just bought the PCI version.

Isn't this the OG that would inspire modern day gaming mice?

The classic MS IntelliMouse optical is my favorite mouse of all time. It's just so comfy to use.

I've read that it does a lot of processing on the GPU and pairs well with slower CPUs like Socket 7. But it's not as fast as a Voodoo 1. I wonder how it compares to the Riva 128.

It's definitely not as fast as a Voodoo 1, but I've only tried the stock Stealth V2100 BIOS. And it does much better than the MSI or S3 3D version of the same games as far as Speedy3D/RRedline go. One of these days, I'll update it to the 60(?)MHz BIOS.

IIRC, the Rendition Verite version of Tomb Raider is the best one in terms of lighting and geometry. Compared to other early 3D accelerated versions I mean.

Also vQuake is interesting since it retains the visual style of the software render, unlike GL Quake which looks quite different.

Got this from a thrift store recently. It appears unused and has nice tactile mechanical switches. I just couldn't pass it up. If it wasn't new in box I would have left it there.

It's a tough call (for me). Between the Verite, Voodoo, Rage 3D, and PowerVR versions each has strengths and weaknesses. The S3 version looks good, but it's too slow on (on the Virge DX). The Matrox MSI version makes the Software version look like a masterpiece of art.

I did like vQuake and it played perfectly fine.

I'll be setting up systems for each of the cards one of these days.
