Geforce2 Ti 250gpu/440mem
Win98 SE
DX7. nvIdia 7.76 drivers.
Ali agp 1.9 something drivers.
Lots of tweaks.
CTU, wpcred amongst others
Fastest settings in bios.
AGP fast write is off at the moment. Agp 1x for stability reasons.
Raised the bus speed to 115. 630mhz

The next goal is to get the computer 100% stable at that speed. It is rock solid at 616mhz. 24h prime95 and 12h memtest stable.

I have 3 x Asus P5A boards, and only one is stable at FSB 115. The other two are only stable at 112MHz and 106MHz respectively.
Try and disable the onboard/external cache (performance will be worse with it disabled) and see if it's stable after that. If it is, then this means the cache is unstable at this frequency and... there's nothing you can do, really, except maybe replacing the cache chip (4ns EliteMT chips seem to work very well at higher frequencies).
You can try and increase VIO, but that will probably have no effect when it comes to the onboard cache stability.

This is a shot in the dark but would adding heatsinks to the cache chips help them with stability at higher clocks?

That's a good idea on some motherboards they can run warm when overclocking.

Here is my WCREDIT settings autoloaded by WPCRSET. The motherboard is a ASUS P5A rev 1.04
I did some more wpcredit tweaks and broke 5k in 3dmark200 at 616mhz. Thoose new settings gave me another 200 points
Me and my friend G3virus tried the L2 cache mod on newly bought k6-2+ 570 cpu:s. Sadly we got cpus from a bad batch, and they didnt work at all with the mod.
However, G3virus delided the cpus, replaced the IHS with a copper based IHS and used liquid metal between the die and the copper IHS.
That was a golden combo. The k6-2+ 570 is 24h prime95 and 12h memtest stable at 672!!! MHZ.
The other k6-3+ 400 is rock solid 100% stable at 616mhz
The green stuff on the cpu is conformal coating.
G3virus also recapped my motherboard. So it works really nice these days.
The copper IHS is from newer AMD cpus that we butchered.

I was pondering trying to get cnc copper replicas made of the oem spreader. I have a spare lid I can send off.
What cpus are those from? Did you have to shorten or modify them at all? I see you sanded them to the copper on top and bottom perimeter.
Btw idk if you saw my report about recent cpus I’ve modded but I keep getting failed super pi runs on multiple systems. I can’t figure out why. But the cpus are stable in everything else. What’s particularly interesting is that it is happening on my OEM 550 3+. So I’m convinced the cpus aren’t at fault. I’m still unclear what the issue is though. Maybe software, maybe other hardware. Unsure. But it’s on multiple systems.
