I had this serverish i815 motherboard with PIII-933 and now I would really like to use it. Trouble is, it expects the original PSU with fan connectors to report fan operation. And until the signal is there the mobo refuses to boot with error 0051-AE.
It looks exactly like https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Operati … 00/td-p/7664722, but simply capping it with jumper did not help.
Here https://community.hpe.com/t5/Operating-System … 29#.YniiZ1RBxEJ they suggest 100 ohm resistor is needed. But before I try that I thought let's ask here first. Surely somebody must have dealt with such troubles already.

Motherboard just expects a tacho signal there, you could route it from any other fan in the system through a 1-10k Ohm resistor or make a small oscillator board that would generate a low frequency square wave signal.

Thank you. 120-ohm resistor in between the CPU sense pin and the PSU pin did it.
