Does NTFS 2.1 (Windows XP) have the same INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE problem that NTFS 2.0 (Windows 2000) has? I can't believe I'm actually considering installing Windows XP...

That error is caused by Windoze not having the drivers for your HD controller. Installing the HD controllers in Windows before changing the HD or inserting the driver disk when installing Windoze fixed it. Dunno why your bringing NTFS into this..... 😕
