So, I've been out of seriously collecting vintage PC hardware for a while, but I have always at least had a few items to keep me in the hobby. Today may have accelerated me back into collecting once again. I picked this all up at an estate sale. Still need to go through everything and check them over and remove old leaky batteries, etc. There are a lot of things I didn't include in the pictures, but mostly just cables, cable adapters, more modern PC hardware that isn't worth keeping or damaged, as well as some crimping tools, heatsink / fans, etc. Here are a few of the noteable things:
Mainboards:
Octek Hippo VL+ DCA
Shuttle HOT-569A
SiS AN4 (486DX BIOS w/ 85C471 Chipset)
UMC FX-3000D Rev. 1.0 (w/ Mr. BIOS and TI486DLC-33GA)
MA022 Rev. A 386/486DLC (486DLC-40 installed with 387 coprocessor)
SiS (85C471 Chipset, 486 BIOS)
Close to 200 sticks of ram between 30 pin SIMM, 72 pin SIMM, SO-DIMM, and various DIMM. There was also a bag containing about 30 various cache sram chips.
Processors:
6x - AMD-K6-2 (450, 350, 350, 350, 333, and 300)
3x - AMD DX4 (120, 120, and 100)
2x - AMD DX2 (80, and 66)
3x - AMD-X5-133
1x - AMD 386DX-40
2x - TI TX486DLC-40
1x - Intel 486DX2 (66)
1x - Intel 486SX (25)
3x - Intel Pentium MMX
1x - Intel Celeron 400Mhz
3x - Cyrix CoProcessors
1x - IBM 6x86 P166+
1x - Sealed AMD Athalon 1200Mhz
Cards:
Diamond Voodoo Banshee AGP 16mb
Sound Blaster 16 CT1740 (technically CT1730 w/ 4.11 DSP) looks to be new in the box
Sound Blaster CT4500
Shuttle 3D64 Wavetable card
Handful of other ISA and PCI cards
Other:
R.A.C.E.R. II Diagnostic card complete with box and manuals
Discovery Card for diagnosing IRC / DMA conflicts
POSTcard Mini
Test Drive II - The Collection game in the box for IBM/PC
As for questions.. Has anyone used the RACER II or POSTcard Mini? These are new to me and I grabbed them more out of curisosity than anything.
On the 386 boards, would you rather use a 386, or a 486DLC? They all look to be capable of using a 486DLC. Since these boards pretty much came bare with ram and processors removed, I will get to play around to figure out what will be the best layout for each system. Anyone have any ideas or tips on how they would configure these?
