I have the original Half-Life discs and have it patched to 1.1.1.0. I have ripped the audio to MP3 and I have added the ID3v1 tags. I have pretty much followed the guide at https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Half-Life#N … _retail_version , But it still does not work for me at all. I can get music as long as I keep the CD in the drive, but no MP3 playback at all. I am on Windows 11 and I don't think that is it as I had the same issue on Windows 10. Any tips would be helpful.

I take it no one else has this problem but me? I even tried a new windows install and it still won't work. I have used both the MP3's off the actual disc and the ones that vlave supplies on steam.
