Does anyone know where I can buy the pins they used on the pentium mmx?

They are about 0.017” to 0.018” width

I wanna use it to make a Tweaker for dual processor motherboards that are running non smp processors. Rather than soldering to the back of the mobo or a processor shim I can just put it in the spare socket.

Can I make a suggestion ...its a bit out there but ..you could buy a Pentium MMX as a sacrifice and well simply unsolder the pins from it, you would then have as many pins as you require. (Could even be an AMD or Cryix since they use the same pins and IIRC AMD pins are soldered)

Also not sure if you saw my post the other day but I have a HX chipset board in the post so when it arrives Ill throw the Parhelia 256 PCI-X in it and get some benchmarks for you.

yeah, I'm kicking myself. I had a dud mmx I threw away a while back 🤣. couldn't bring myself to destroy working retro hardware.

ooo sweet! thanks!

there is a pentium mmx aiming for the stars thread that could use those results!

I would buy one of them dirt cheap scrap lots with junk MMX processors in them that dont work.

suppose you may be right.

turns out that you can actually search Ebay for "Gold CPU pins" and there are sellers selling piles of them already removed 🤣

Last lot I bought actually had working processors in it marked as dead .. so really it was worth it and it paid for itself. (I love the gamble 🤣, sometimes I win and sometimes not but its always fun if its cheap)
