But anyway, the GZ-50M was the only one sold internationally. The 30 and 70 basically don't exist out of Japan. Yahoo Japan Auctions is your best bet, but even then these don't show up so often anymore.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Anyways, thank you for the information. Now I know not to look for the GZ-30M and GZ-70SP outside of Japan, which saves some time when searching the sites daily.

The 70SP is basically a 30 but with extras for karaoke usage. For MIDI music, the 50 is the best equipped module. The 30 doesn't even have a standard MIDI-Input, it's serial only.

I was able to purchase a GZ-50M a few days ago from Japan this way. It wasn't cheap though; it cost ~$130US, although it was complete-in-box.

It was available when I wrote that post. Guess it got snapped up quickly.

The item is out of stock because I bought it immediately after I received the PM from Shponglefan about it. I only now have the time to reply on VOGONS. Thank you very much for your help! He's actually harder to find. Although if you can't find it, I believe you can build your own external synthesizer, using a raspberry, you just need the cassio gz soundfont.

I didn't know it either, and now that I've seen some videos, I'm also in love with this model.

You might have better luck finding a musical keyboard that used the same midi "samples". So all you have to do is connect the midi in and midi out cables to the keyboard and your computer.

I am looking since then for a GZ-50M with no luck, and unfortunately several months since the last one appeared in japanese auctions. I live in Japan and I spend literally hours searching almost every day for midi devices on aution pages but no luck at all.

edit: i just saw that on Hard Off online they sold one unit on May 31st for 7,700 yens (a little expensive though, as they always do)

There has been two available just in the past week bought by myself and the OP from Japan on Ebay.

Like I suggested earlier in the thread, the best thing to do is set up a saved search on Ebay with email notifications turned on. Then you'll be notified the moment a new one is posted for sale.
