For some reason, the secondary IDE channel stopped working on my ASUS P4S8X-X (SiS648/963 chipset with P4 2.66Ghz), so I replaced it with a Foxconn 648FX4MR-ES (SiS648FX/661FX chipset with P4 HT 3.0Ghz). Besides the board and CPU, the remaining hardware remained the same. I reinstalled Windows 98SE and drivers (SiS AGP r1.17 + nVidia 45.23), then DX6/7/8 and 3DMark 99/2000/2001, but the performance seems to be way below than with the previous board. What am I doing wrong?
