There is no info about the type of shipping, e.g. expedited, ground etc on DHL website.
Do you know if there is any estimated/guaranteed delivery date for the shipment?

Current time frames for shipping Germany to Canada via DHL is 1-2 months.

Stuff gets here eventually, it just takes awhile.

Meanwhile everyone in Americas waiting for their ARGUS, I found this video about Classic GUS. Hardcore GUS fans be warned , you won't like the guy talking in this video.

He mentions some glitches he gets with Classis GUS in some games; did GUS PnP have this issue fixed?

I would think anyone seeking an ARGUS would know what they are getting into. The GUS series has a reputation for being finnicky cards with specific use-cases, including the GUS PnP.

LGR did a video awhile back about the ARGUS specifically and some of the challenges he had getting it to work in different scenarios.

For the broadest combability, the best solution is a GUS Extreme, since it included an ESS 1688 chip for SoundBlaster Pro compatibility. Although one might as well just install an actual SoundBlaster at that point.

Looks like the chips finally arrived in Canada, according to the tracking.

Indeed ! I should get them in the next 2 days if all goes well, and then, ship them to the fab (or hand deliver them, depending on my work schedule)

I hand-delivered the Interwaves this morning ! The batch will start assembling soon!

Great to hear that. 🙂

I'm excited to put my order in when the 2nd round of pre-orders open up.

Glad the chips finally arrived ... 37 days from .de to .ca + clearing customs is excessively long.

Current Project: new GUS PnP compatible soundcard

I should get my hands on the assembled PCBs Tuesday June 14th

Is local pickup an option? I suppose it depends on where you are. I'm hailing from Toronto. 😁

Hah! That would be a trek for sure, sounds like driving to Quebec city to my friend's cottage. (8 hours)

Wait... 6? Oh Montreal? I've passed by many times, stayed once for a Caravan Palace concert. 😅
