I am putting up a list of video card tech demos ever released, the content becomes harder to find day by day. The list won't be complete, I deleted many of the ones I had so it'll be good to fill up the gaps as well:

An unarranged list of demos from their actual sites:

Not an official Nvidia demo, but historically relevant maybe.:
https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce256-t,135-4.html

Edit: "I have to say that I never saw a game-demo as impressive and as beautiful at the same time,
but some of you might be very disappointed about the complete lack of blood and violence."

90s gaming in a nutshell. Just love that line. Describes the addiction to DOOM, Castle Wolfenstein, Half Life etc nicely.

I should add them in a demoscene section later?

i should add, but there are some demos I added that are unofficial as well. For example Unigine benchmark is on Nvidia site but it's not theirs.

I understand, makes sense. Their were different releases of the Unigine Benchmarks, even.
Early versions still ran Windows XP or MacOS 10.6 etc.

Can you provide links to them? Looks like they have been lost

I will add that as well for the facr it's still a official video card OEM demo.

Thank you! 😄

If you ever need a copy of these that you can't find online, please let me know.

Maybe I do have copies of an old demo or a similar thing. Just sent a PM whenever you like.

I got this demo, now can you please tell what's the executable name originally is, mine's already edited. (The demo gives a black screen on running, more testing on the way)

Also, I am searching for a "Blobby Dinosaur" that I read on another VOGONS only and not anywhere else. I know of "Blobby Dancer" but not the dinosaur one.

I added links to most of the demos. And I am also trying out the demos on my PC.

The X1800 series ATI demos don't work on my Nvidia GPU. I tried dgVoodoo2 but it fails too. The 8500 Dolphin demo can be run using dgVoodoo2 as it supports ATI TruForm.

The ATI Rage 128 Dawning GPU works in normal as well as educational mode using DxWnd. The Radeon's Ark demo wants a Radeon 7000 GPU, but probably some hex edit may fix it (and I am not good at it).

Most 3Dfx demos work fine but there's no sound, and it's difficult to find why.

@BEEN_Nath_58:

I have quite a few of the demos mentioned that have no links on my ftp at
ftp://retronn.de/demos

There are subfolders for 3dfx, nvidia, amd and also e.g. Rendition.

You can create a https:// link if you write instead https://retronn.de/ftp/<ftp_path>

There is also some stuff to be found that is not in your list yet.

Remember you can run the Matrox G400 tech demo on other hardware if you put " i_promise_i_will_go_buy_a_matrox_g400" at the end of the config file 😁
I seem to remember using 3D-Analyze to run the Matrox Parhelia Reef tech demo on other hardware too.

PowerVR Midas-3 or PCX also seems to have demos:

I went through the website. Only thing I didn't find was the demos used and the links to them

I tried the Ogre and the Vulcan demos and they are presenting high exposure at some points, but I don't remember seeing them like the white regions:

Great toppic! Thx guys.

I was really impressed when I saw R7000/ARK Demo, knowing that the shaders are not used in any game because they are not 100% DirectX compilant.
Another one that still look great today is that Matrox-Parhelia Reef-Demo this can be run by a GF6200 too with 3Danalyze but it looks really nice on the real thing.
Chameleon also impressed me, never new that there was a GF4MX Edition?

What really impressed me here is that DX6/7-water looks's like pixelshader, but it's not.

I fetched the demos as @elianda provided, many of which are DOS based (and I am currently listing Windows ones). Rendition ones have been tough to classify, first I have to ascertain if they were really developed for the Rendition and then many of them don't use RRedline but OpenGL, so I will update my list with the used API sometime. A pity that we can't test the RRedline demos on modern hardware.

Looks like the ATI X1800 demos don't work on my Nvidia hardware. They fail on loading shaders or something. It runs fine on the AMD RX 500 series though.

Also Design Garage hasn't run, probably the drivers don't support Optix Ray Tracing anymore, neither did I ever use it.
