Guys,
I have three empty 5.25 bays on an old beige case. There is a DVD reader in it already. I need your ideas of vintage stuff I can put there, preferably occupying all of them. Or not so vintage but looking good in a beige case. I don't have many possibilities among recent stuff without it looking wrong.

How old is the case/system in it?
In terms of autenticity, a 5.25" floppy and a second beige optical drive would generally be a safe bet. For older systems, a tape drive would look good.
If it's a late beige system i.e. after 2000, you get more options. Front USB, fan controllers - hell even equalizers and cassette recorders become options.

That reminds me, I need to find one of them cool as hell ThermalTake drive bay fan controllers .. cause retro systems sure as hell dont need the CPU fan running at 100% all the time.

I already have a cup holder which doubles as a CD drive.
HDD caddy in beige for older, 2.5" mutli-drive hotswap bay and if it's a 2000's or newer machine one of those ridiculous 5.25 bay control panels, like a graphic equalizer.

5 1/4 FDD could go in the second.
ZIP drive in a 5 1/4 to 3.5in adapter in the third maybe? 😜
Or you could use one of those old-fashioned removable drive bays 😜

SB Live/Audigy has a beige 5.25 breakout.
tiny bad speaker panel, hard disk caddy, usb/firewire/card reader (probably hard to find in beige), sound card i/o bays (audigy/live), zip drive with 5.25>3.5 cutout, fan speed panel.
ive seen a little key/stash drawer in 5.25 as well as a graphic equaliser.
i tend to just use dead or faulty cd/dvd rom drives tho.

I totally forgot about that, and I agree 100%, a SB Live drive would be really nice for a 98-99 system.

I genuinely need a fan control panel but I've never seen it in beige.
