Awesome deal for $25... really odd seeming config though, someone must have told them they needed 850W for two GPU, but HD6670s would run two to a 500W .. and I can only guess it was for only moderately heavy graphical work with multi monitors or something, doesn't really say "ideal gaming spec" of any year, even budget. Unless the HD6670 was a placeholder in the first place, then another one came up cheap and they thought "May as well see what 2 will do" and never got round to a "serious" crossfire setup.

edit: or maybe upt until the GPU crazy began in 2020, it did have two GPU needing near 850W, and owner cashed in and stuffed the HD6670s in then.

Bought my dream Sega console: the CDX. It'll get an OEM power brick and I'll need to fabricate an A/V cable for it so I can connect the CDX to my PVMs via RGB (that and if I get a 32X as well).

It has a badge from this company so I guess it started as a prebuilt, then the customer added the Syba SATA card and the USB 3 card (who knows with the video cards). The guy I bought it from had a moderately nice home in Novato that's surely worth an awe inspiring amount of money.

I thank you in the video. That Diamond Speedstar VGA you sold me made all the difference on that PC Partner VP DX2-66. Everything ran smoothly from there even without the cache. I will eventually find some cache that works, but I'm in no rush.

It was pretty grimey on the outside but nothing a little elbow grease can't fix. Looks a lot better now.

Still need to open it up for inspection, and de-oxit the knobs etc but it works pretty well as-is! The red LED lights up when it's tuned so that is pretty nifty

Ten year old me would have loved to have had that. That's also the sort of radio my friend's father would listen to (tuned to the local AM country radio station) while he worked on projects out in the garage.

That's cool. I wish I still had my grandfathers garage radio.

To me, it's always satisfying and practical to fill a need in a simple and relatively unique way, it's just a radio that is good for the kitchen or wherever but there is something to be said the 'patina' and classic Sony design, versus buying some crap chinese item on amazon.... And analog tuning is nice too haha

Nothing special - it performs well, looks good, and just works without a fuss in the games I play on a CRT (no problems with Commander Keen, Terminator Future Shock/SkyNET, Quake, Doom, and others).

Plus, I love cards having expansion options; the Trident ProVidia 9685 is perfect for a 1996 period correct build.

Finally got the MSI BX Master again, had this back in 2000 running the celeron 633@950 and the Abit BH-6, both nice bx motherboards. MSI is in bad need for new caps, most seem bulged.

VESA 1.2, according to Gona.

"Can it run Terminator Future Shock/SkyNET in 640x480 resolution?" without any tinkering of any kind is my primary test for DOS compatibility. If it can't, it's not a card I use for DOS purposes. In the case of the Trident ProVidia 9685 (which is another card I like the name, so I keep typing it out, heh), it's a resounding "YES."

What's the difference between a BH6 and a BX6R2? It looks like 1 RAM slot?

Picked up a new in the box LS-120 Drive w/a box of new disks, a Radeon 7000 32MB DDR, and the Quake3t0theMax Grand Prize has arrived (Voodoo3 3000)! I'm confident any machine I can install this card into will be unstoppable!
