We got the Imagination Nation Network running in DOSBox with a home built server emulator and most all the games work, but when INN tries to launch RB.EXE it crashes. It's looking like DOSBox just doesn't like something about the Red Baron program.

To see the problem check the Imagination Network Revival site for instructions on how to configure INN to connect (network address and settings for the modem)

http://innrevival.googlepages.com/gettingon-line

Any help or feedback would be great.

I think there were different versions of Red Baron - specifically one for INN

Wow. I never knew somebody had gotten INN working in DOSBox. That is seriously cool. I always wanted to try INN as a kid, but never could. I just tried to use it and it worked like a charm. I've attached a screenshot for fun.

Thanks for the unintentional heads up on this!

I think we are making some good steps to getting Red Barron working... we got a lot of the server disconnects to go away to.

I always get disconnected when I try to play a role playing game... is that still an issue?

The effort put into our old games never ceases to impress. Good stuff! 😀
