Have you tired the Damp Rid buckets? I've used them in the past and they work quite well. A proper dehumidifier would be best but the buckets are cheap and do a decent job.

I got rid of a perfect working Pentium board the same way just a few years ago. It had solder points for a coin battery, and I thought it was a factory mistake or something. It never occurred to me batteries could be elsewhere (in my case the Dallas chip). Oy....

The manual mentions a later revision to have MMX support... but not this REV.: 1.52 one.
I was also looking for JP1 JP2 and JP3 to set FSB and multi... But if it has the Switch block the Jumpers are not populated.

Its a weird board. 🤷‍♂️

That cooler was quite common back in the day. The ATI and Nvidia stock coolers left alot to be desired especially the ATI ones. It was relatively quiet and did a great job cooling.

Synchronicity: I have a Lian Li case that has a sticker on the inside indicating that it once had an A7N8X in it, and it now has a P4P800 in it.

How nice when someone give away free stuff, but they are also brands, socket 7 GIGAbyte is nice. Ofc when they give me parts for free last thing is to brag, how the stuff are not what i want... But anyway is nice you could have gotten noname socket 7, u got instead GIGAbyte very nice. No Dual BIOS 🤣... And yes the battery is ezz fix, i did similar thing, when a guy wanted to give me his socket 3 mobo, since it did have leaked battery, and his keyboard was not working, but i found that the mobo is more then fine...

If i was on ur place, id go and straight sell these crap ASUS boards, and they just die for no reason, ABIT, GIGAbyte, SOYO, SOLTEK, MSI, AOpen and others are better in terms of reliability then the shitty ASUS...
Hate when some moron removes the bracket, i have lot of I/O shields, brackets and other spare parts from many dead stuff over the years, YET non of them was compatible with missing Voodoo II bracket ffs...
Also it makes me wonder why the hell someone did bother to install 1 heatsink, but not 2 more, on the rest chips, it makes no sense. Unless he did have only 1 heatsink, but then why to bother installing 1, since the rest chips will cook themselves...

What I want to know is how does Radical Vision get Voodoo 6000's for a nickel + "shitting?" I know he's done it, but hasn't let us know as of yet, haha...

OK, so is this something worth buying? I'm guessing it's an 8-bit monochrome video card for XT class PCs or something? I have neither any XTs nor monochrome monitors, but I'll grab it if it's valuable 🤣.

I have heard of Easter eggs in some games if you hook up a secondary monochrome monitor. For example, you get some kind of information readout in Mech Warrior 2.

The reason this works is because the memory area reserved for monochrome output is mapped separately from VGA, so you get kind of a primitive form of dual monitor support, but only for software that is written specifically to take advantage of it.
