Hello.
Today I tried to run an old Compaq Armada 7792DMT laptop. It was working until yesterday, but today when I start up, only the three lights on the case come on and nothing happens!

Anyone more knowledgeable can help with advice as to what the problem might be?
I looked in the service documentation but can't find anything about these (maybe) error codes.
I am attaching a video below!

Does it have only soldered RAM onboard of is the RAM slot populated?

Look like powering issue.
Did you do this test? :
- unplug the laptop
- remove the battery
- wait one minute (important)
- reconnect the laptop (only the power cord)

If that works, good, else that will be a more complexe issue (ribbon badly connected or worse like a micro chip un fail on the motherboard etc... the possibilities are numerous).

Both slots are occupied by 2 RAM tiles of 32 MB each !

Is it possible to find a diagram of the connectors of the power supply module somewhere?

After I removed the two RAM cards and the battery, it started! 🙂
I didn't know it had built in ram! 🙂
Apparently one of the tiles is problematic... I just played!

I have one more question! What is the correct Compaq utilities disk version for this laptop model because version 8.10 says it is not for it!?

So now you have to determine what is actually faulty.
It may be one (or both) of RAM sticks, it may be one (of both) of RAM slots, it also may be dirty contacts on module(s) and in the slot.

Could you provide a link to the correct version of the Compaq Diagnostics disk?
