Hi,

I wanted to ask if someone can suggest me an replacement BIOS chip for Amptron PM-8600A (https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/amptro … 8600a#downloads). I got the board without BIOS and I would need to buy some, just to make sure I will buy the right one at first 😀. The socket is DIP 32 and I only have DIP 28 right now. If anyone have any idea, please, let me know.

thank you, Tomas

Any plastic DIP32 EEPROM should do.

My personal choice would be an Winbond W29EE011-15.

Agree ! Any good 128kx8 (1Mbit) 32 pin eeprom should work since the BIOS file is 128KB in size and nearly all eeprom have same pinouts (yes not all but most all do)

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun
