Quick update. Found a Sharp MZ-80B emulator that looked promising.
Unfortunately, it uses DirectX.. Oh, well.. But it has sources, maybe it can be ported, theoretically ? To WinG or GDI ? 😁
One of the utilities almost worked, at least! Seems to be written in Delphi or another Borland language.

It probably uses only the DirectDraw subset of DirectX. It should be convertible to either WinG or GDI.

I always love to see your choice of background whenever you post screenshots, in addition to the content. 😀

Quick update. Found a very early test version of a SuperNES emulator (v1.1).. It didn't do mucht, but..
By comparing the executable with a later specimen, I found out why certain, uhm, procedures nolonger work since.
Parts who, in the later version would normally enhance functionality, are missing. Fascinating. Just go backwards from CBI..

PS: This this thing is capricious as a cat. It crashed in both WineVDM (CoLinux) & Win XP. And Win32s, after starting a game.
Had to resort to an emulated instance of Windows 95 to get a sample game running (thanks DOSBox!)..
The sole purpose here is software archeology. I may remove it, if needed. Needs WinG SDK/256c.

Phew! That's what I hoped. Delphi 2 can produce some Win32s compatible programs, I remember.
If it's really written in Delphi 3 to 7 (the error messages reminde me of Delphi/Borland), it may do well enough!

Quick update. Found a site named "the History of Home Video Games Homepage"!
So I can't ignore this one, of course. Besides, Grover/Grobi can't be wrong, can he ? ;)

The site was available at videogames.org.
Wayback has a copy, I think. It's a work in progress, but has its charme.

Quick update. Found an archived site of a BBS/SNES group named Anthrox.

Beware, it's a true blue 90s site in all its glory!

Quick update. Found a preserved anime/manga site or archive from the mid-1990s..
And it's intact ?! 😯 It even has fan fiction! That's cool! 😎

PS: The stuff seems clean, there's no Hent*i afaik. 🙂👍 Sorry guys.. ;)

Hi everyone. Here's another update. It's more or less on topic.:

I've found what seems like a forgotten student site at MIT from the late 1990s.

It mentions nerdy things like Babylon 5 and InterNES, Stella, Snes9x, also.
(There's your emulator component. The first also was on 3.1x, also.)

Long story short, it's a fine time capsule.
A momentary snapshot of a time in which dudes on their beige CRT monitors
and SUNs, SPARCs and Amiga 4000s enjoyed life and pain from school.

I'm afraid people today aren't like that anymore, unfortunately. It's a totally different time.
Students today are totally stressed all the time, need to take stimulants to get through the study matter etc. 😢
I guess that's why this time capsule might be so precious, also. It shows that other conditions existed once, at least. 🙂

I've taken some screenshots with cool-retro-term and lynx for you.
To get you into the mood.

Hope you enjoy! ^^

PS: The files seen aren't accessible, really. Something's weird with the server.
The site and photo gallery still works, though. Which is most important, anyway.

That time capsule is so cool. Also, 🤣? Someone threw the CRT of the balcony. That photo alone deserves to be preserved for austerity.

I know, right ?! 😂 These people surely had humor, even though in a rather wacky way!

Window NT. Solid as a rock.

I even have a boxed copy on my shelf. All of the disk packets inside are still sealed.

Hey, that's cool! Windows NT 3.1 was my first Windows NT! Followed by NT4 and XP! ^^

@everyone My apologies for beeing a slightly bit off-topic here for a few posts.
I'm currently experimenting with Windows NT 3.x and 32-Bit emulators, some of which could possible. run on Windows 3.1, too.
So please don't worry - I do really have some more Win16 and Win32s compatible emulators at hand, already!
I will try to show them in the past next days.. This topic/thread hasn't reached its end yet.
Stay tuned for a few surprises now and then! 😄

WOOSH. I guess no one looked closely at the photo of my boxed copy of NT. It has a seeeeeeecret! 😜

It's the special edition in white, not the yellow version ? Just kidding. Fine collector's item! 😁 👍

Quick Update. Found an Philips P2000 emulator that can run on Win32s.
Well, strictly speaking its a DOS/Win32 combo.

The P2000 was a home computer series from the Netherlands of 1980, made in Austria.
No, not Australia. The little German country below Germany. 😉
